Blessing During the Drout

At times God give us blessing when we feel we don't deserve any because of our current choices.

At times we feel that we don't deserve any blessing form God because the current choices that we are making. Yet He blesses us and it confuses us. We ask why? How can He bless us when we aren't doing what we should be doing. And God says to us:

"For behold, for a long time will I lay up of the fruit of my vineyard unto mine own self against the season" (Jacob 5:76)

The Lord love us and blesses us. He can blesses during our down times because of what did in our better times.

Personal Mission Statement

Who Am I?

I am Brandon Douglas Fegenbush. son of a Marine, offspring of an artist. My life is organized chaos. I control the important and let the lesser run free. I care and am compassionate. I stand and I fight. I am a mixture of many things and thus am very adaptable. I’m moldable. I’m flexible. I am what I need to be when the time is needed. I am sometimes repetitive, so that others may learn the lesson. Each of us is unique, special and individual and we all have something to offer. We all can give. Life isn’t so much about who you are but what you did. Then again, its what you do that makes you who you are, so really everything you and I do matter. It makes sense. It all makes sense, and in the end it works out.

So what is my Personal Mission Statement? It is thus:

Be yourself but be your best self. Left life happen and control only what you are given to control. Don’t overstep your bounds but admire the different views. And always to thy own self be true. What we do beyond that matters very little. They are means to an end. Make the best end.

Version Two

To the old and blue, the 600 that once was new, a feeling I must confess.
During this time of snow sublime, my soul is in distress.

Part of me died, there in the lot it lies, because of Rexburg's bitter cold.
That flame and fire, fueled by desire shall no longer the roam the open road.

But from these frosty ashes I shall rise again, a stronger and better man.
To see the sky and walk the line from whence I started and began.

Ode to Blue

Part of me has died today. Frozen to death by Rexburg's bitter cold.
Flame and fire, fueled by desire shall no longer the roam the open road.

But from these frosty ashes I shall rise again, a stronger and better man.
To see the sky and walk the line from whence I started and began.

Rant and Rave?

Although we might not admit it, we all love rants and raves. Why? Because we secretly agree with them.

Forget the Boat, I'm on a BUS!

So check this: I'm on a bus right now, going to Nauvoo on a school trip that I wasn't suppose to be on because there was no room. I might have talked my way onto it. Oh, and are you wondering how I have internet? Well, I might have kinda sorta stole the USB Modem because the WiFi they hooked it up to had a password.

I figured this: "No is only the first answer." and "If it doesn't work, adapt."

Rise Above

When things get down, reach up towards Heaven. Then we will feel the might of the Lord descend upon us and we will find that we have risen above all else.

How to Write

Want to know how I write well? Simple. I just listen to the Spirit.

Thoughts at a Devo

I have a great ability to build up heated passion and send it out into the world. I have this as a gift, to move and motivate things. I need to learn to challenge it more into constructive means.

My passion is part of my life. Yea, it makes me a little crazy at time but during those hazy rages sessions I can see what I don’t normally see. Things are brought before my eyes and I use this knew knowledge to try and shape the world to be a better place.

I find no joy in gossiping, moaning and complaining. I don’t need the praise of other to try and console me, I only need the reassure of God and the closest mortals to me. I let my rants and raging go wild to try and shape the world. I point out our flaw (yes I have them too, I see them in myself a lot) in a hope to identify and overcome them.

Ever rant, every passionate rage, ever time I throw my voice out into the world it is in an attempt to make the world a better place.

So I say, let your rage flow. Let your passion over take you. And control it. Channel that energy, that frustration, all those powerful feeling into changing your world. Changing it for good. To benefit us all.

As Sister Dalton said,

“We can change the world. We can change the world. We can do hard things. We can do hard things.”

The Thank You

If you don't say thank you to a compliment your less likely to get another one.

Dwell To Motivate

Never dwell on the past unless it is to plan for the future. Don't dream of the future unless it will motivate the present.

Attempt at an Alliterisen

No door can be opened if the
keys are lost and the lock is kept
because only He can delver.

5 Lessons I learned at PhotoShop

1. Seek the Light
When shooting look for good natural lighting. Look for windows and area that have high levels on contrast. Position your models so that the light hits them best.

2. Shoot into the Sun
Don't be afraid of shooting with the sun directly overhead. Shoot into the sun. Use it to create silhouette, interesting contrast and give people an angelic glow.

3. Go For Natural, Nor Rubber
Don't just blur skin. Use a little blur to do it right. Don't lose the textures in a person or else they seem fake. And no one likes a fake person. No one.

4. Make a Difference
We have been given talents and abilities. We need to use those to further the work of God on the Earth. Instead of going to some horrific scene and captures the tragedy of everything find out what the people have to say. Let the background help the people speak. Don't make the people the background and let the destruction speak. People are important and always consider them first.

5. Be Thou an Example
We interact with people from all over the world. Of all faiths. Of all religions. We need to make sure we are sensitive to what they feel and think. We have to first show them how much we care about them before we have a chance to share the gospel message with them. Tell someone their a sinner and need to change is more like a door slammed in the face. Its asking them what they think and what is important to them that opens the door and lets them walk into our world. And it will be up to them if they want to stay or not, but it very, very important to always keep that door open. You never know when they will need to duck in from the storms of life and find that they really want to stay after all.

Of Worth

Something isn’t special if everyone can do it. Do you praise someone for breathing? For working? For talking? Usually only if it’s their first time. Such as a baby first steps or after a loved one was revived by a medical officer. But my brothers and sisters, we are neither newborns nor the nearly dead. We are healthy, wise and strong. We need to hold sacred what is precious to us and to not toss it away, like pearls before swine. Honor your virtue. Guard it with your life.

(your not cheap, don’t act like it).

Empathy: A tool of the gods to help us understand each other. And sometimes ourself.

Wisdom

Aww, wisdom, the nectar from the gods. the true fountain of youth.

(I'm on a roll today, haha)

I'm like wine

I'm like wine and get better with age. I can outsmart, outperform and overpower my high-school self in every way.

Age is a gift, don't hate it.

Maturity

Maturity come through experience more than age. Its just that age usually comes with more experience.

Great Gifts

A man's honor is the greatest thing he can offer after his heart.

A Kid and His Leaf

As I say upon the ground in the Spori quad a little lad came upon me. He held in his little hand an offering of peace. A little red leaf alive with the sun, vibrante with life. He came towards me with no strive or malice or envy.

His intention were pure as that of the blue sky above us. In that moment I realized something. This child possesses something pure, something devine. What else did he hold in his hand besides that little leaf? What he also held in his hand was charity. A gift from God and it walked down towards me.

It was a lesson. A lesson of charity. How to be a a real friend. To be childlike, to have the attributes that child does. And in that moment I wanted to be as that child. To be able to go to anyone and talk to them just because. And to reach out to all with God's love.

The challenge it to overcome the doubts Satan puts there. To negate the doubtful thoughts we've might have had or experience in such. Being a true friend with childlike characteristics is one of the greatest goals that we can attaint right now.

After all, its how the Savior told us to be.

Change in the Reflection

The mirror shows what was once before, the path ahead full of laugh and score. The friends who played insults to alienation, now lie dead in their contemplation. The lesson learned and the deed be mourn, tis the time to ponder and be reborn.

Thoughts

Big

I want to get stronger for 3 reasons:

1. Because God gave me a temple and I want to honor it.
2. To attract a girl so she can marry me (note that is one girl. I only want one girl to love me. The rest don't matter).
3. And most important, once I have that girl and we make a family I want to be strong enough to slaughter any person or thing that tries and hurts my family.

Thats my reasoning.

The Worst Feeling: Unworthiness

When wandering in gray areas you stop and wonder if what you were doing was right or not. But we each really know if it was right or not. And so we repent and change and strive again to do what is right.
